<br />&,3 <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE APPOINTED TO WORK WITH <br />HAYS COUNTY VETERANS ON SWIMMING POOL PROJECT <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The $125,000 Swimming Pool will be built on three <br /> <br />lots east of the present Legion Hall. <br /> <br />2. The City of San Marcos will close the last block of <br /> <br />Hutchison Street, which borders the Hays County Veterans <br /> <br />property. <br /> <br />3. The Hays County Veterans Corporation will lease the <br /> <br />Swimming Pool to the City of San Marcos. The lease will <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />include the aforementioned three lots. <br /> <br />a. The Swimming Pool will be leased to the City of <br /> <br />San Marcos for $1.00 per year for 20 years, with <br /> <br />option to renew on same terms. The Pool will <br /> <br />remain in the name of Hays County Veterans <br /> <br />Corporation. Exception to be made only if loan <br /> <br />is needed to build Pool. <br /> <br />b. Exception to terms of lease proposed in 3a (above) <br /> <br />will be made if campaign to raise funds is not <br /> <br />successful. Lease will be re-negotiated if loan <br /> <br />is made. <br /> <br />c. Any profit over cost of maintaining and operating <br /> <br />I I <br /> <br />the Pool will go into park expansion or improvement. <br />
