Dr. Craddock moved approval of a <br />chdnge of~ol1ing on the Therm~n Iridustrial Development Corp. <br />tract from "R-1", residentiil, to "I", industrial. <br />Mr. Contreras seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />W.S. Rader appeared before the Council with a preliminary plan <br />and plat for a subdivision, "Tanglewood # 3". He stated he <br />would eventually enlarge the development with "Tanglewood#4" <br />and "Tanglewood #5';, and that by January 1,1971, he would be <br />ready for development of another subdivision, "Crestwood"~ on <br />Ranch Road 12. Councilman discussed plahsfor Tenglewood #3 I <br />with Mr. Rader. Dr. Craddock moved approval of the prelimi- <br />nary plan for Tanglewood # 3. Mr. Contr'eras seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimou~ly. <br /> <br />The third item forwarded from the Planning & Zoning Cpmmission <br />concerned a petition for annexation of a 4-acre tractn.ear the <br />West Hopkins StreerjWest Sari Antonio "y,,' owned by the Knights <br />of Columbus. The Planning & Zo'hing Commission recommended <br />that a large acreage be annexed (which would include the 4-acre <br />tract), in order to square off the City Limits Line to Redwood <br />Road 'and the railroad track.' The letter from Planning & Zoning, <br />with plat of the area, are attached as a part of the Minutes. <br />Joe Nicola, President of the Knights of Columbus, came before <br />the Council to ask that his petition be considered separately, <br />in order not to delay i~stallation of facilities to the KC Hall. <br />,He said if a long delay ensued, his organization would be forced <br />to drill a water well. <br />Theabili ty of the City to furnish wate~ and sewer to the larger <br />acreage was discussed with the City Manager. <br />Dr. Craddock moved that Mr. Be~n be authorizedto make a study <br />of the larger acreage recomm'ended For annexatiol1 by the Planning & <br />Zoning Commission, to ascertain whether the City could serve the I <br />'a'rea. and that an annexation' 'ordinance be drawn up for the <br />4-ac:re KC tract, as o'riginal1y p~titioned.
