regular meeting, feb~uary 9, 1970 page three ( c The Mayor announced that Mr. Flores' resignation from the Steering Committee of Community Action required that the Council appoint another City representative to the Board. Mr. Flores recmmmended that Celestino Mendez be appointed to the vacancy. Mr. Serur moved that the Council accept Mr. Flores' resignation. Mr. Smith seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote wss recorded: I AYE: NAY: ABSTAINING: Craddock, Contreras, Serur, Smith, Zavesky None Flores The Mayor declared the motion carried. Mr. Zavesky moved that Celestino Mendez be appointed to represent the City Council on the Community Action Board. Mr. Smith seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The City Manager presented bid tabulations on fuels and lubricants for 1970, see attached. Dr. Craddock moved that the bids for fuels and lubricants for 1970 be let to Conoco and Gulf, low bidders. Mr. Contreras seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. At 8:10 p.m., there being no further business on the Agenda, Mr. Flores requested that the Council move into executive session, to discuss personnel matters. EXECUTIVE SESSION I The Mayor declared the Council to be in executive session. Mr. Flores said he had proposed,~he Resolution requesting Richard Bean to reconsider his resignation as City Manager, efi!!ective Feb. 15. He asked the City Manager if he had made a decision.
