REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, MAY 11, 1970 Present: Mayor Hollis W. Smith I Councilmen: Frank Contreras, Jr. Emmie Craddock. Ph.D. Luciano H. Flores Ross King Herbert A. Yarbrough, Jr. Jerry Zavesky City Manager City Secretary Richard G. Bean Dorothy O. Worrell Visitors: The Rev. Sam Junkin, Mrs. C, D. Marshall, Dr. & Mrs. n.w, Tuff, Stanley L. Sissom, Reuben H. Meeks~ Frank Pennington, Bill Veidt, Andrew Mendez, Jim T. Brown, Bob Barton, Jr., Martin Cherry, W.C. Carson, Bot;,byHargroeder, Harvey Miller, Lanny Cravy The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7;30 p.m. The Rev. Sam Junkin, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, gave the Invocation. I Th~ Minutes of April 27 & April 28, 1976 were present,d. The Mayor stated he had not had time to read the April 27 MiDutes. Dr. Craddock moved approval of the April 27 Minutes, as presented. Mr. Zavesky seconded the motion and on roll call, ,the following vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: ABSTAI N: Contreras, Craddock, Flores, King, Yarbrough,Zavesky None Smith The Mayor declared the motion carried. Dr. Craddock moved approval of the Minute. of,qaPublic Hearing and Meeting on April 28. Mr. Flores seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: ABSTAIN: ,~ontreras~, Crarddock, Flores, King, Smith, Yarbrough None Zavesky The Mayor declared the motion carried. I Ellis Serur came. before the Council. as spokesman for St. John's Church. He asked permission to place a marker ,.for the new church on a strip of City property at th~ entrance to the driveway. Mr. King moved that the request be ~ranted. Dr. Craddock seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Yarbrough introduced an ordinanc.e and moved it,s adopti')h on final reading.
