<br /><0 <br /> <br />There is a possibility that studies made to date by the corps of <br />engineers and the soil conservation service will reveal maps and <br />information satisfactory to delineate flood areas. It is my understanding <br />that if information is not adequate, mapping can be completed by the <br />corps of engineers with funds provided by HUD. There should be no <br />expense to the city in the planning stage. During the ~nforcements ph~se <br />which is sometime away, we will need to integrate the requirements as <br />far as flood hazards are concerned - this is a gradual process. This <br />involves the establishment of Use and Management Crite~a. <br /> <br /> <br />- <br /> <br /> <br />You can appreciate there is much more detail involved, particularly during <br />the development of the use and management phase and the enforcement. I <br />do not believe that this will be a matter of great concern during this <br />emergency pi3riod when the program needs to be made available as'soon aa <br />possible. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />~, <br />
