<br />Dollar. <br />(G) For newspaper advertisement, the actual publication <br /> <br />costs incurred. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />XIV. <br />INVALID SECTION NOT TO INVALIDATE OTHER SECTIONS, ETC.: If <br />any section, subdivision, paragraph, clause, phrase or sentence <br />of this ordinance, or the application thereof to a particular <br />person, firm or corporation, or to a particular set of circumstances, <br />should, for any reason, be held invalid or unconstitutional by <br />a court of competent jurisdiction, such adjudication shall in no <br />wise effect the remaining sections, subdivisions, paragraphs, <br />clauses, phrases and sentences of this ordinance, and to such <br />end each subdivision, paragraph, clause, phrase and sentence <br />hereof is declared to be separable from the others. <br />XV. <br />REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES. ETC.: All ordinances and <br />resolutions, or parts thereof, in conflict herewith are hereby <br />repealed to the extent of such conflict. <br />XVI. <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY: The innnediate preservation of the <br />public welfare and safety being endangered due to the fact that <br />the existing ordinances of the City of San Marcos, Texas, do not <br />afford adequate regulations establishing standards for declaring <br />personal property to be abandoned and a public nuisance, and do <br />not provide a comprehensive procedure for the impounding, storage <br />and sale of such property; therefore, an emergency exists, requiring <br />that the provisions of the Charter of this City relative to reading <br />of proposed ordinances in open meeting of the City Council on <br />three several days, and making such ordinances ineffective until <br />the expiration of ten days following the date of their final <br />passage,be dispensed with, and, accordingly, they are dispensed <br />with as to this particular ordinance. Thus, this ordinance shall <br />be effective immediately upon its passage, approval and adoption <br />by this body. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />-6- <br /> <br />I <br />.J <br /> <br />L- <br />
