On roll call, the <br />following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Breihan, Cunningham, Dibrell, Flores, Sutton <br />NAY: Craddock, Hansen <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion passed and the Ordinance approved I <br />on first reading. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock ppened a Public Hearing to consider a request <br />for a change of zoning out of 52 acres of the J.M. Veramendi <br />League #2, located within and a part of the Paul J. Rogers <br />Trust; approximately 4.79 acres from "c" (commercial) to <br />"C-2" (commercial). There were no objections. The Mayor <br />closed the hearing and read the caption of an ordinance as <br />follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH <br />REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS" <br />STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY <br />CHANGING THE ZONING OF A PARCEL OF LAND OUT OF 52 ACRES <br />OF THE J.M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NUMBER TWO, BEING LOCATED <br />WITHIN AND A PART OF THE PAUL J. ROGERS TRUST, FURTHER <br />BEING APPROXIMATELY 4.79 ACRES FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL) TO <br />"C-2" (COMMERCIAL). <br /> <br />Mr. Breihan moved the ordinance be approved on first reading~; <br />Mr. Cunningham seconded the motion, which passed unanimousl~~ <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced a request for a temporary permit for <br />a mobile home to be located on lots 12 and 13 of the Millview <br />Addition, 1508 Loop 82 North. Mrs. Lucille Leinneweber <br />spoke in favor of this request. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Flores moved the request be approved. Mr. Cunningham <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced an ordinance authorizing certificates <br />of obligation in the amount of $200,000 for the construction <br />of a City Hall. Mr. Sutton moved approval of the ordinance <br />as an emergency. Mr. Flores seconded the motion which passed~ <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced an ordinance awarding a contract <br />for the construction of a City Hall. Mr. Dibrell moved <br />~ approval of the ordinance awarding a contract for the <br />construction of a City Hall to Bohlmann, Inc. in the amount <br />of $399,978.00 and declaring an emergency. Mr. Flores <br />seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />At the request of the applicant, Mrs. Shirley Wickersham, <br />items 9 A and B were left on the table. Said items referred <br />to requests for zoning change made by Mrs. Wickersham. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock read the caption of the following ordinance <br />on second reading: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS ESTABLISHING <br />THE BELVIN STREET HISTORICAL DISTRICT; PROVIDING PROCEDURES <br />FOR THE ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS AND ESTABLISHING A <br />BOARD OF REVIEW CONTROLLING THE DEMOLITION OF STRUCTBRES <br />WITHIN THE DISTRICT: ESTABLISHING STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES; <br />PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY; AND PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY <br />CLAUSE. <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton moved approval of the ordinance on second reading. <br />Mr. Hansen seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock read the caption of the following ordinance <br />
