24 regular meeting, august 12, 1974 page three were present to oppose this change of zoning. Mr. Tom Harwood representing Mr. and Mrs. D.B. Thomas was present to speak for the change of zoning. Mr. Breihan moved to table the ordinance on second reading. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion which passed unanimously. The Mayor declared the motion passed and the ordinance tabled on second reading. I Mayor Craddock read the caption of the following Ordinance: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF A PARCEL OF LAND OUT OF 52 ACRES OF THE J.M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NUMBE~ TWO, BEING LOCATED WITHIN AND A PART OF THE PAUL J. ROGERS TRUST, FURTHER BEING APPROXIMATELY 4.79 ACRES FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL) TO "C-2!' (COMMERCIAL). Mr. Cunningham moved to approve the ordinance on second reading. Mr. Breihan seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock read theca.ptionofthe following ordinance on third final reading: I AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS ESTABLISHING THE BELVIN STREET HISTORICAL DISTRICT; PROVIDING PROCEDURES FOR THE ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS AND ESTABLISHING A BOARD OF REVIEW CONTROLLING THE DEMOLITION OF STRUCTURES WITHIN THE DISTRICT: ESTABLISHING STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY; AND PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. Mr. Sutton moved to adopt the ordinance. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion which passed unanimously. The Mayor declared the ordinance passed, approved and adopted. Mayor Craddock introduced a resolution to the City Council regarding maintenance of the River Walk and read the following caption: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ADOPTING AND APPROVING A MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT WITH THE BICENTENNIAL COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,-TEXAS, FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF THE RIVER WALK ON THE SAN MARCOS RIVER, SAN MARCOS, TEXAS.l Mr. Sutton moved approval of the resolution. Mr. Cunningham seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced a resolution beginning airport land exchange at Camp Gary and read the following caption: I A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS STATING THE COUNCIL'S INTEREST IN THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE MUNICIPAL'AIRPORT AT .CAMP GARY AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INITIATE A LAND EXCHANGE WITH THE GARY JOB CORPS CENTER. . Mr. Dibrell moved approval of the resolution. Mr. Flores seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
