The <br />Mayor declared the hearing closed. <br /> <br />~Mayor Craddock read the caption of the following ordinance on <br />first reading: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE DEDICATING A CERTAIN TRACT OF REALTY FOR <br />THE PURPOSE OF A PUBLIC MUSEUM~ SAID TRACT TO BE USED <br />FOR A MUSEUM, CONSTRUCTED UNDER THE MANAGEMENT OF <br />THE TEXAS MUSEUM OF HISTORY, INC.~ PROVIDING EOR THE <br />BUILDING TO BE COMPLETED WITHIN FIVE ,(5) YEARS FROM <br />THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE; AUTHORIZING THE <br />CITY MANAGER OF SAN MARCOS TO ENTER INTO CONTRACTUAL <br />AGREEMENTS WITH THE TEXAS MUSEUM OF HISTORY, INC. AND <br />TO TAKE ALL STEPS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE INTENTS <br />AND PURPOSES EXPRESSED HEREIN. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton moved to approve the ordinance on first reading. <br />Mr. Hansen seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock read the caption of the following ordinance <br />first reading: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING <br />CODE TO GOVERN SPECIFICATIONS, MATERIALS, METHODS, <br />MAINTENANCE, ETC; PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF <br />THIS ORDINANCE~ REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT <br />HEREWITH; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND <br />ESTABLISHING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS. <br /> <br />Mr. Hansen moved to approve the ordinance on first reading. <br />Mr. Sutton seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock requested the City Council to consider a I <br />petition from Mr. W.S. Rader asking for disannexation of <br />Crestwood Addition. Mr. Sam Cutt spoke in favor of <br />the disannexation. Mayor Craddock moved the petition <br />be tabled for further evaluation by the staff. Mr. Cunningham <br />seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was <br />recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Breihan, Cunningham, Dibrell, Craddock, Flores, Hansen <br />NAY: Sutton <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion passed and the petition tabled. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock read the caption of the following ordinance. on <br />second reading: <br />AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING PORTIONS OF MATTHEWS <br />STREET IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS; RELINQUISHING <br />TO JAMES H. Me CROCKLIN AND DR. ARLEIGH B. TEMPLETON ALL <br />RIGHT, TITLE, AND INTEREST OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS IN <br />AND TO SUCH PORTIONS OF MATTHEWS STREET; AND DIRECTING <br />THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS TO EXECUTE AND <br />DELIVER TO THE SAID PERSONS QUITCLAIM DEEDS TO SAID <br />PORTIONS OF MATTHEWS STREET. <br /> <br />Mr. Dibrell moved to approve the ordinance on second <br />reading. Mr. Cunningham seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock read the caption of thefollowilig ordinance on <br />second reading: <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH <br />REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, <br />STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY <br />CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOTS 11, 12, 13 AND 14 IN THE <br />SAN MARCOS HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION, AND ALSO A TWO ACRE TRACT <br />OUT OF THE T.J.
