<br />31 <br /> <br />regular meeting, august 26, 1974, page two <br /> <br />Mr. Hansen moved the ordinance be approved. Mr. Sutton seconded the <br />motion which was unanimously approved. The Mayor declared the motion <br />passed and the ordinance approved on first reading. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock opened a Public Hearing to consider an ordinance <br />amending Chapter 18 of the Code of Ordinances of said City enacting <br />a new section numbered 18-3 entitled "Care and Custody of Minor <br />Children at City Pools." There were no objections to this ordinance. <br />The Mayor closed the Public Hearing and read the caption of an <br />ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 18 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY ENTITLED <br />"PARKS AND RECREATION," BY ENACTING A NEW SECTION NUMBERED <br />18-3 ENTITLED "CARE AND CUSTODY OF MINOR CHILDREN AT CITY <br />POOLS." <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton moved the ordinance be approved. Mr. Hansen seconded the <br />motion which passed unanimously. The Mayor declared the motion <br />passed and the ordinance approved on first reading. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock opened a Public Hearing to consider an ordinance <br />amending Chapter 18 of the Code of Ordinances of said City enacting <br />a new section numbered 18-4 entitled "Control of Animals in Public <br />Parks." Mr. Warren Leddick spoke in favor of the ordinance. Mr. <br />Breihan questioned out-of-town visitors having dogs without a San <br />Marcos license. There were no objections to this ordinance, The <br />Mayor closed the Public Hearing and read the caption of an ordinance <br />as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 18 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY ENTITLED <br />"PARKS AND RECREATION," BY ENACTING A NEW SECTION NUMBERED <br />18-4 ENTITLED "CONTROL OF ANIMALS IN PUBLIC PARKS." <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton moved the ordinance be approved. Mr. Breihan seconded <br />the motion which passed unanimously. The Mayor declared the motion <br />passed and the ordinance approved on first reading, <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock opened a Public Hearing to consider an ordinance <br />amending Chapter 18 of the Code of Ordinances of said City enacting <br />a new section numbered 18-5 entitled "Prohibiting Motor Vehicles in <br />Public Parks." Mr, Flores stated that it would be hard to enforce <br />this law especially in the Gilcrease property. Mr. Warren Leddick <br />spoke in favor of the ordinance. There were no objections to this <br />ordinance. The Mayor closed the Public Hearing and read the caption <br />of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 18 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY <br />ENTITLED "PARKS AND RECREATION," BY ENACTING A NEW <br />SECTION NUMBERED 18-5 ENTITLED "PROHIBITING MOTOR VEHICLES <br />IN PUBLIC PARKS." <br />'\ <br /> <br />Mr, Sutton moved the ordinance be approved. The Mayor declared the motion passed <br />and the ordinance approved on first reading. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock opened a Public Hearing to consider an ordinance I <br />amending Chapter 18 of the Code of Ordinances of said City by <br />enacting a new section numbered 18-6 entitled "Establishing Regu- <br />lations for the Use of Alcoholic Beverages in Public Parks." <br />Several questions were asked in reference to the word "family" <br />in Part 6 of the ordinance. The City Attorney stated that the word <br />"family" could be deleted, The Mayor closed the Public Hearing and <br />read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br />
