<br />SECTION 2: That John J. <br />candidates for Place 3 on the <br />election to be held on May 2, <br /> <br />Stokes and John A. Kreczmer be <br />San Marcos City Council in a runoff <br />1981. <br /> <br />SECTION 3: That Elida A. Mendez and Ed Tarbutton be candi- <br />dates for Place 4 on the San Marcos City Council in a runoff <br />election to be held on May 2, 1981. <br /> <br />SECTION 4: That a majority of the legally qualified <br />voters voting in said election voted Against the adoption <br />of extended hours of operation for holders of mixed beverage <br />permits and wine and beer retailers permits in the City of San <br />Marcos and said Proposition is hereby declared to have failed. <br /> <br />SECTION 5: That the importance of this Ordinance creates <br />an emergency and an imperative purpose necessary that the pro- <br />visions of the charter requiring that ordinances shall be read <br />at three spearate meetings and that no ordinance shall become <br />effective until the expiration of ten (10) days following the <br />date of its final passage be suspended, and these provisions are <br />hereby suspended, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be <br />in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publica- <br />tion in a newspaper of general circulation within the City. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 6th day of April, <br />1981. <br /> <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> <br /> <br />Mae L.
