72 REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, OCTOBER 30, 1974 Present: Mayor Emmie Craddock Councilmen Ted Breihan William L. Cunningham Bill Dibrell Luciano H. Flores John Hansen Kenneth E. Sutton I City Manager James B. Baugh City Secretary Doriss Hambrick City Attorney Tom Akins Director, Finance Earl T. Williams Director, Public Works William Friedrich Special Counsel William Olsen Alsp present: Jerri Martin; Terry Roberts; Robert McMillian; Stanley Hughson; Patrick Nugent; Jay O'Neil; Chuck Swehla; Tom Harwood; Joe Parks; Rosalio Tobias; and others. The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. The Minutes of the Regular Meeting held October 14, 1974, were approved on motion of Mr. Sutton and second of Mr. Hansen. The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider a request for a change in zoning of a portion of Lot 2 of the division of the G,B. Ezell Estate from "c" to "C-2". Robert McMillian was present to represent the applicant, Kirk Michaux. No objections were made to the rezoning. The Mayor closed the hearing and read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: I AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF A PORTION OF LOT 2 OF THE DIVISION OF THE G.B. EZELL ESTATE, LOCATED ON THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF FOREST DRIVE AND NORTH L.B.J. DRIVE, FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL) TO "C-2" (COMMERCIAL). Mr. Sutton moved the Ordinance be approved on first reading. Mr. Cunningham seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider a request for a change in zoning of the Municipal Airport Subdivision and adjacent property, being approximately 90.if5 acres and being a part of the J.M. Veramendi League Number One, from "R-l" to "C". Mayor Craddock stated that the rezoning had been initiated by the Planning and Zoning Commission. There were no objections presented to the change. The Mayor closed the hearing and read the caption of an ordinance as follows: I. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF THE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT SUBDIVISION-AND ADJACENT PROPERTY, BEING APPROXIMATELY 90.75 ACRES AND BEING PART OF THE J.M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE ~ER ONE, LOCATED ALONG INTERSTATE 35, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO "c" (COMMERCIAL). Mr. Hansen moved the Ordinance be approved on first reading. Mr. Cunningham seconded the motion, which passed with six votes in favor and Mr. Breihan in abstension.
