Williams <br />Director, Public Works William Friedrich <br />Special Counsel William Olsen <br /> <br />Alsp present: Jerri Martin; Terry Roberts; Robert McMillian; Stanley Hughson; <br />Patrick Nugent; Jay O'Neil; Chuck Swehla; Tom Harwood; <br />Joe Parks; Rosalio Tobias; and others. <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The Minutes of the Regular Meeting held October 14, 1974, were approved on <br />motion of Mr. Sutton and second of Mr. Hansen. <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider a request for a change in <br />zoning of a portion of Lot 2 of the division of the G,B. Ezell Estate from <br />"c" to "C-2". Robert McMillian was present to represent the applicant, <br />Kirk Michaux. No objections were made to the rezoning. The Mayor closed <br />the hearing and read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES <br />AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND <br />LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF A <br />PORTION OF LOT 2 OF THE DIVISION OF THE G.B. EZELL ESTATE, LOCATED <br />ON THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF FOREST DRIVE AND <br />NORTH L.B.J. DRIVE, FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL) TO "C-2" (COMMERCIAL). <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton moved the Ordinance be approved on first reading. Mr. Cunningham <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider a request for a change in <br />zoning of the Municipal Airport Subdivision and adjacent property, being <br />approximately 90.if5 acres and being a part of the J.M. Veramendi League <br />Number One, from "R-l" to "C". Mayor Craddock stated that the rezoning had <br />been initiated by the Planning and Zoning Commission. There were no <br />objections presented to the change. The Mayor closed the hearing and read the <br />caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES <br />AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND <br />LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF THE <br />MUNICIPAL AIRPORT SUBDIVISION-AND ADJACENT PROPERTY, BEING APPROXIMATELY <br />90.75 ACRES AND BEING PART OF THE J.M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE ~ER ONE, <br />LOCATED ALONG INTERSTATE 35, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) <br />TO "c" (COMMERCIAL). <br /> <br />Mr. Hansen moved the Ordinance be approved on first reading. Mr. Cunningham <br />seconded the motion, which passed with six votes in favor and Mr. Breihan in <br />abstension. <br />
