124 regular meeting, december 16, 1974 page two The Mayor read the caption of a Resolution as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH THE GARDEN CENTER OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF THE SAN MARCOS CEMETERY AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY FOR SAID SERVICES. Mr. Sutton moved approval of the Resolution. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Breihan requested the City post notice at the Cemetery informing the public of the procedure for purchase of lots. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, REQUESTING THAT THE LOWER COLORADO RIVER AUTHORITY PROVIDE INFORMATION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS IDENTIFYING THE COMMODITY PRICE INDEX CHARGES, FUEL EXPENSES AND REQUESTING SAID INFORMATION BE TRANSLATED INTO TERMS REFLECTING THEIR EFFECT ON THE AVERAGE MONTHLY BILL, AND PETITIONING THE LOWER COLORADO RIVER AUTHORITY TO APPLY COMMODITY PRICE INDEX INCREASES TO WHOLESALE AS WELL AS RETAIL CONSUMERS. The Mayor read the caption of a Resolution as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, PETITIONING THE RAILROAD COMMISSION OF TEXAS TO RENOUNCE INTERLOCUTORY ORDER OF SEPTEMBER, 1973, IN GAS UTILITIES DOCKET #500. The Mayor read the caption of a Resolution as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS A DEED CONVEYING THAT CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE ATTACHED EXHIBIT A; SAID CONVEYANCE TO BE MADE IN EXCHANGE FOR PROPERTY ON L.B.J. DRIVE. The City Manager presented a survey of the referenced property, explaining that the staff, in recommending approval of the exchange, felt the action would help to alleviate problems of narrow streets, a dangerous intersection, and poor or inadequate drainage. Mr. Sutton moved the Resolution be tabled until a recommendation could be received from the Environmental Advisory Committee. Mr. Cunningham seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Cunningham, Sutton NAY: Breihan, Dibrell, Craddock, Hansen. Mr. Dibrell moved approval of the Resolution. Mr. Breihan seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: I AYE: Breihan, Dibrell, Craddock, Hansen NAY: Cunningham, Sutton. The Mayor declared the motion passed and the Resolution approved. l _
