Searcy Smith; Mrs. Kay Burton; Miss Eden Moseley; <br />Warren Leddick; Mrs. Ofelia Vasquez; George Vandervort; Jerri <br />Martin; Terry Roberts; Melissa Millecam; Jim Cunningham; and others. <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The Minutes of the Regular Meeting held March 24, 1975, were introduced for approval. <br />Mr. Sutton moved they be approved. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion. Mr. Breihan <br />requested they be amended by indicating the location of the softball field referred <br />to in the third paragraph on the third page. On roll call, the vote was unanimous <br />to approve the Minutes as amended. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Minu~es of the Special Meeting held April 2, 1975, were approved as presented <br />on motion of Mr. Sutton and second of Mr. Hansen. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock issued a Proclamation designating the week of April 14 through <br />April 20 as International Women's Week. <br /> <br />The Mayor next presented a plaque to outgoing Councilman William L. ,Cunningham <br />in appreciation for his service as Councilman from the citizens and City Council. <br /> <br />The City Attorney administered the Oath' of Office to Mr. Frank T. Arredondo and <br />Dr. Emmie Craddock. <br /> <br />Dr. Craddock opened the floor to 'nominations for Mayor. Mr. Breihan nominated <br />Councilman Bill Dibrell. Mr. Arredondo nominated Dr. Emmie Craddock. There being <br />no further nominations, the Council voted by roll call as follows: <br /> <br />DIBRELL: <br />CRADDOCK: <br /> <br />Breihan, Dibrell, Sutton <br />Arredondo, Craddock, Flores, Hansen. <br /> <br />Dr. Craddock was declared Mayor. <br /> <br />The floor was opened to nominations for Mayor Pro Tempore. Mr. Arredondo nominated <br />Councilman Dibrell. Mr. Dibrell declined the nomination, stating that he felt it <br />inappropriate for both the Mayor and Mayor Pro Tempore to be'representatives of the <br />University community. Mr. Flores nominated Councilman Hansen. Mr. Breihan nominated <br />Councilman Sutton. Mr. Sutton declined the nomination. Mr. Hansen nominated Councilman <br />Flores. The Council then voted by roll call as follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Arredondo: Flores <br />Breihan: Flores <br />Dibrell: Flores <br />Craddock: Flores <br />Flores: Abstain <br />Hansen: Flores <br />Sutton: Flores. <br /> <br />Mr. Flores was declared Mayor Pro Tempore. <br />
