SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AND THE SAN MARCOS ClIAMBER. OF COMMERCE FOR ALLOCATING REVENUES FROM THE HOTEL OCCUPANCY ROOM TAX TO THE SAN MARCOS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. Leo Poore, manager of the Chamber of Commerce, came before the Council to state that the only change in the proposed contract was an increase in monies allowed for administration from 10% to 15%. Mr. Hansen moved approval of the Resolution. Mr. Arredondo seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. APPROVING AND ACCEPTING CONVEYANCE OF AN ADDITIONAL TWO FEET TO SAID ORIGINAL EASEMENT BY HARRY AND CAROL McCLUNG. Mr. Sutton moved approval of the Resolution. Mr. Arredondo seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor read the caption of a Resolution as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, WAIVING THE LAND FILL FEE CHARGED TO BROWNING FERRIS INDUStRIES FOR THEIR USE OF THE SAN MARCOS SANITARY LAND FILL IN CONNECTION WITH REFUSE COLLECTED AT GARY JOB CORPS CENTER. Mr. Arredondo moved approval of the Resolution. Mr. Breihan seconded the motion. Mr. Sutton requested the Council consider tabling the motion to see if Browning Ferris would comply with the provisions of the waiver. On roll call, the motion to approve the Resolution passed by a unanimous vote. Mayor Craddock reported that the next item appearing on the agenda, a Resolution I establishing fees for use of recreational facilities, should have been listed as an Ordinance Rnd published as such. Since it had not, action would have to be deferred to a later meeting. Mayor Craddock read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, StRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF APPROXIMATELY 5.79 ACRES OUT OF THE J.M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NUMBER TWO, LOCATED BETWEEN LH. 35, LOOP 82, UHLAND ROAD, AND THE SOUTHERNMOSt BOUNDARY LINE OF A 20 ACRE TRACT BELONGING TO MR. WELGE, FROM "R-l" (SiNGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO "c" (COMMERCIAL). Mr. Hansen moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading. Mr. Sutton seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CIty OF SAN MARCOS, tEXAS, ESTABLISHING FEES FOR INSTALLATION AND INSPECTION OF AIR CONDITIONING WORK PERFORMED IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS. Mr. Flores moved approval of the Ordinance on second reading. Mr. Breihan seconded the motion, which passed with five votes in favor and Mr. Hansen in abstention. I The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING FEES FOR INSTALLAtION AND INSPECTION OF ELECtRICAL WORK PERFORMED IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS. Mr. Arredondo moved approval of the Ordinance on second reading. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
