Stemen; Allen Earley; John Shell; Henry Gonzales; <br />George Christ; Glenn Lane; Shirley Wickersham; Terry Roberts; <br />Paul Ale~ander; Jerri Martin; Melissa Millecam; Rowe Ray; and others. <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The Minutes of the meeting held September 8, 1975, were introduced for approval. <br />Mayor Craddock noted a correction to be made on pagel, the first recorded roll <br />call vote: Arredondo, "AYE". Mr. Sutton moved approval of the Minutes, as <br />corrected. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote <br />was recorded: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Rensen, Sutton, Arredondo, Breihan, Dibrell, Craddock <br />None. <br />Flores. <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton moved approval of the Minutes of the Special Meeting held September 15, <br />1975. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Hansen moved approval of the reappointment of Larry Murphree as Municipal <br />Court Judge. Mr. Arredondo seconded the motion, which passed unanimously; <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton moved approval of the reappointment of Ronald D. Champion as <br />alternate Municipal Court Judge. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton moved to confirm the appointment by the City Manager of Charley Williams <br />to the Civil Service Commission. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced representatives of Forrest and Cotton, consulting <br />engineers, who presented plans for three Community Development Projects. Bob Derrick <br />outlined plans (at the 60% stage of completion) for Broadway Street improvements. <br />Mr. Breihan moved the authorize the engineers to proceed with planning on the <br />project. Mr. Flores seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Derrick next explained the preliminary plans for improvements to Cheatham <br />Street. He reported that the street from Guadalupe Street to L.B.J. Drive would <br />remain two lanes, that it would be increased to three lanes from L.B.J. Drive <br />to McKie Street (one lane for traffic turning right on L.B.J. Drive), and that <br />from McKie Street to Riverside Drive Cheatham would be widened to four lanes. He <br />also reported on preliminary plans for sidewalks on the street and improvements to <br />the bridge. Mr. Breihan moved to authorize the engineers to proceed with plans <br />on the project. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The third program presented by Mr. Derrick was for sidewalks along Highway 123. <br />He explained that the preliminary plans called for the sidewalks to be placed on <br />the west side of the highway from Sunset Bowling Lanes to the Interstate. Mr. Breihan <br />moved to authorize the engineers to proceed with planning. Mr. Hansen seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br />
