<br />
<br />AUDITING AND ALLOWING CLAII1S POR INDEBTEDNESS INCURRED
<br />IN THE PURCHASE OF AUTOMOTIVE EQUIPMENT AND STREET
<br />!f!ACHINERY FOR, THE CITY OF SAN JI1ARCOS, TEXAS, AND AUTH-
<br />ORIZING THE DELIVERY OF CITY OF SAN MARCOS AUTOMOTIVE
<br />EQUIPMENT AND STREET MACHINERY WARRANTS TO EVIDENCE
<br />SAID INDEBTEDNESS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

<br />'vlHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas,
<br />has heretofore on June 30, 1954, passed an ordinance authorizing
<br />the issuance of $35,000.00 CITY OF SANIIlARCOS AUTOl10TIVE
<br />EQUIPMENT AND STREET MACHINERY WARRANTS, dated August 1, 1954,
<br />

<br />Numbered 1 to 35, inclusive, in the denominq,tion of $1,000 each,
<br />bearing 3-1/2% interest per annum, and maturing on August 1st,
<br />$2,000 in each of the years 1962 to 1966, inclusive, and $5,000
<br />in each of the years 1967 to 1971, inclusive, for the purpose of
<br />
<br />evidencing the indebtedness of the City of San 11arcos, Texas,
<br />
<br />to be incurred in purchasing automotive equipment and street
<br />
<br />machinery for said City, which ordinance is of record in Book
<br />
<br />
<br />17, page 244, et seq., Minutes of the City Council; and,
<br />
<br />
<br />vlHEREAS, on JuneJO, 1954, and July 21, 1954, the City
<br />
<br />Council, for and on behalf of the City of San Marcos , entered
<br />
<br />into contracts for the purchase of certain automotive equipment
<br />
<br />and street machinery; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that said
<br />
<br />automotive equipment and street machinery has been ,delivered to
<br />the City of San Marcos and has been inspected and found
<br />acceptable; and that the contractors have complied with all the
<br />
<br />I
<br />
<br />terms and conditions of said oontracts;and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the following claims , duly verified, have b,een
<br />
<br />
<br />presented to the City Council of said City:
