He <br />stated that they have been delivering 2,000 gallons of gas at a tLne, <br />but they 'use a truck that has a larger C8.9ac1ty. Mr. illis has spoken <br />to them about the matter. Mr. Du Pree said that if the ordinanee is <br />fully eXlforc eel, ti:ley will 11a ve to bay a new truck wi th a smaller capaci ty. <br />The Council stated that ",.hen they passed the ordinance, they were under <br />the impression that all the dealers were in favor of it. It was decided <br />that no action be taken on the matter until all the dealers could Il1eet <br />wi th the Counci 1 and give their o;Jinions. 'rhe tv Secretary was ins tructe:J <br />to notify all gasoline dealers by letcer to wIth the Council at <br />the next meeting to disCL1SS the matter. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. ~allace Barber presented a problem to the Council conc8~ning <br />.illS water supply. He stated that for sometime he had been having water <br />-ores sure "::;roblsms at his home. ?Ie saj.d tll.at when the water tank was <br />-ouilt, "Qe :"lad sood water service, but P8cently a neighbor had installed <br />a 2 inch water meter, which he believed was causIng his" wate~' su)ply <br />to deCl"eas8. He said that there, were times when they ;'lad no water at <br />all. 'l'he Ci t;:r then installed a larger water meter for him, which solved <br />the problem. Of course, the larger meter cost more. After allowing <br />him a. discount in the amlocmt of his old meter, he still owos1i65.00. <br />He asked that the Oi ty ac;ree to pay half of this ( .50) as he did not <br />feel that he sllOaldhave to pay it all because it was not his fault that <br />a lare;er meter was needed. l'he Council discussed the matlDr, after wilieh <br />Aldepman De Viney made a 1110 tion that the Ci ty .pay half oJ' the amou.nt <br />due on 1.:J.1.8 metGr, 'V~iC}l woulcl amount to ,:lj;32.50. A11er.man Allen seconded <br />the m00ion. A vote was taken which resulted unanimously in favor of <br />the motion. <br /> <br />The property tax valuations of Peyton Thomas and Prank Zi::Junerman <br />'i"18l'e presenteo.. to the Council. After a dlsc-llssion,the Council~unanim()usly <br />agresd that tbey did not wish to make any changes in the decision of <br />the Equalization Board. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />:Mr. Prank T. Drought met with the Council to discuss the park plans. <br />He stated that he did not have the work comoletecl at present, but that <br /> <br />he would se~ad the plans as soon as')os3iole. It was stated that SOIne <br />plans will have to be made for the roads. The Council also authorized Mr. Drought to pc epare <br />a of the City Limits according to the list of annexation field notes <br />has been lHade. <br /> <br />There was a discussion about the sludge pits at the old sewage <br />disposal plant. The Cou_ncil authorized Iilr. McWilliams to break the <br />bottoms of the pits and to fill them with dirt. <br />
