That principal of and interest on said warrants shall be payable at the FIRST NATIONAL BANK, SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, without exchange or collection charges to the owner or holder; interest shall be payable upon presentation of warrant and prin- cipal shall be payable upon presentation and surrender of warrants. Section 7. That said warrants shall be signed by the Mayor, countersigned by the City Secretary, and registered by the City Treasurer, and the seal of the City of San Marcos, Texas, shall be impressed upon each of said warrants. That the form of said warrants shall be substan- tially as follows: NO. $1,000 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF HAYS CITY OF SAN MARCOS STREET IMPROVEMENT WARRANT SERIES OF 1955 THIS IS TO CERTIFY that the City of San Marcos, a municipal corporation, in the County of Hays, State of Texas, under and by virtue of valid and subsisting claims against said City, is justly indebted to bearer in the principal sum of ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00), in lawful money of the United States of America, to- gether with interest thereon, from date hereof, at the rate of three and one-half (3-1/2%) per cent per annum, payable April 15, 1956, and semi-annually thereafter on October 15th and April 15th in each year; both principal and interest payable at the FIRST NATIONAL BANK, SAN MARCOS, TEXAS; interest payable upon presenta- tion of warrant and principal payable upon presentation and surrender of warrant..w.1thout exchange or collection charges to the owner or holder; and the City Treasurer is hereby authorized, ordered and directed to pay to bearer, at said bank, the said sum of One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollars, on the 15th day of April, 19_, the date of maturity of this warrant in full settlement of
