7-JJ AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TO ISMAEL ROSALES A FRANCHISE TO USE THE STREETS, AVENUES, ALLEYS AND OTHER PUBLIC PLACES OF THE CITY OF S~N MARCOS FOR THE OPERATION OF A TAXI CAB BUSINESS AND A CERTIFICATE OF CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY I BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: This the 20th day of April, A. D., 1955 at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, came on to be considered the application of Ismael Rosales for a certificate of convenience and necessity for the operation of a taxi cab business within the city of San Marcos and its suburbs, and after considering said ,application and determining that a necessity exists for the convenience of the publiC that a taxi cab service be made available at the location described in the said application, and that such application should be grant- ed, it is accordingly ordered by the council: I 1. That the City of San Marcos, Texas do, and it does hereby, grant to the said Ismael Rosales, his heirs and Assigns, a franchise right and right of way at all times during a period of years from the date of this order, to operate a taxi cab business in said City of San Marcos, and does grant the said Ismael Rosales the right to use and pass over the streets, avenues and public thoroughfares of the City of San Marcos and its suburbs for the purposes of operating said taxi clab business. 2. That this franchise and right shall be subject to compliance by the said Ismael Rosales, his heirs and assigns, to all laws, ordinances, rules and regulations of the City of San Marcos as well as State and Federal. 3. That this franchise and right shall be subject to payment of all charges, filing of proper showing as to insurance II coverage and proper registration of vehicles with the City Secretary. 4. The grantee, Ismael Rosales, as long as he does busi- ness hereunder, shall be obliged to give efficient public service at reasonable rates as shall be required by the public authorities governing them, and to maintain his properties in good order through- out the life of this grant, or else this grant shall be subject to forfieture.
