Rogers stated that, during the last six months, the water pressure had been very poor in Spring Lake Hills. He said he thought it might be caused from the Air Force Base p~TIp turning on. He inquired as to whether or not there mi@lt be some other way of running wator to the houses in that section, where tiLere would 'oe good water pressure. . IvIr. Bar'bee stated that he would talk to Willie Posey, Water Superintendent, about the water pressure, and see if anything can be done. I 'rhe Council discussed an agreement which Franl{ T.Droug,ht, Engineer, had prepared concerning work that his company may do for tlw City in the future. After studying this agree~ent, Alderman Brui th made a motion that Mayor Dietterich be given the approval of the City Council to sign the agreement 'oetween the City and Frank Drought. Alderraan Hill seconded the motion. A vote was taken which resulted unanimously in favor of tile motion. The agreement follows these minutes and is a part hereof. Mr. W. G. Barbee requested authorization toueliver a note in the amount or $5,000.00 to the First National Bank, San Marcos, Texas, in order that payments can be made fr~m the City of San Marcos street Improvement Warrants, Series 195;;, Pund. Alderman Smith made amotion that a $5,000.00 note be made payable to the j;'irst National Ba.'1.k. The proceeds from this note will be deposi ted to the City of San I,'larcos Street Improvement Warrants Series 1955 Fund and the reimbursements on ~his note are to be illade from said fund. The City of San Marcos Street Improvement Warrants Series 1955'were authorized and passed by the ordinance dated April 20, 1955, as recorded in Volume 19 - Page 5 & 7A, with the following heaning: "An Ordinance 1/1 AUTdOiUZING TBE ISS1:JANCB 01:<' WA.BRANTS IN THE PRINCIPAL SUM OF j;'ORTY THOUSlu\[D ($40,000.00) DOLLARS FOB THE PURPClSE OF PAYING CLAU&l TO BE HTCCHlrtED BY TliE CITY OF' SAN MARCOS, Tj~XA3, IN CONSTl1UC'rING sm:O;ET IMPROVEMENTS IN SAID CITY; LEVynG A TAX TO PAY THE INTEREST ON SAID WARRANTS N~D THE PRINCIPAL THEj~- OF AT MATURITY; AND DECLARING AN ElvIERGE1'WY." Alderman Hill seconded the motion. A vote was taken which resulted unanimously in favor of the motion. There being no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 4:30 P.M.
