<br />.3:2 ./1 <br /> <br />San Antonio, Texas <br /> <br />June 15, 195.2. <br /> <br />TO: THE HONORABLE Mayor and Council <br /> <br />San Marcos <br /> <br />, TEXAS <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />Gentlemen: <br /> <br />We understand that your ci ty expects to call an election <br />in the near future covering ~to,SO.OOO.OO , more or less, of Street <br />Bonds. In this connection we wish to make you the following proposal: <br /> <br />We will pay the fees of <Ii bson. 3pence & Gibson , Attorneys of <br />Austin , Texas , which firm is to be employed by your city <br />to furnish all legal papers and to direct all legal proceedings in- <br />cident to calling the election on said Bonds and authorizing the issuance of said <br />Bonds if they are successfully voted. We agree also to furnish you at the proper <br />time with the printed bond forme for signatures of the proper Officiale, and will <br />look after securing the approval of the bonde in the Attorney General'e Department, <br />Austin, Texas and the registration of said bonds in the Comptroller's Department, <br />Austin, Texas. <br /> <br />Further we will counsel with you and adviee you in eetting up said bond <br />issue in Buch manner as to realize the lowest interest ratee available in the market <br /> <br />Our services in this connection will include all usual expenses as out- <br />lined above but will not include certain costs of holding the election, i.e., the <br />fees for elsction Judges and Clerka, or for the publication of the election notices. <br />We will pay for the election supplies. Under this agreement it is understood that <br />ws will --= pay the costs of a market attorney's approving opinion. <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />$7.00 <br /> <br />For our services in thi!1 connection, you agree to pay us a caeh fee of <br />per $1,000.00 Bonds authorized. <br /> <br />In the event the election should fail to carry, we are to be paid a cash <br />fee of None to cover our expenses incurred u-p to that -point. <br /> <br />It is e~pressly understood that nothing in this agreement will in any way <br />bind your Cl ty to sell this issue of Bonds to us if they are ap- <br />proved by the voters.
