<br />Mr. Barbee presented a letter from Fraru{ T. Jrought, Engineer,
<br />San Antonio, Texas, concernin6 a proposal on a preliminary sewer survey
<br />on sections of San Marcos where sewer is not available. Mr, Drought
<br />stated in the letter that he wOllld nrenare an engineer estimate
<br />and a preliminary l~yout of a sewer' extension progr~~ in the Hill
<br />Section of ":JaIl !;Iareos for a s'= not to exceed ;;\l,OOO.OO.' He stated
<br />that he would keep an actual time on the work involved and will bill
<br />the CIty on the basis of the time eX~gended-, providing that it does
<br />not exeeed the above amount. lie also stated that, if the oond issue
<br />to perform this work is suceessful, the amo~nt charged for the pre-
<br />liminary rmrk will be ,credited against their fee for the overall
<br />projeet and t;'lat for this preliminary wOlok would not be due
<br />until after the election is called, or, if it is decided not
<br />to call an election, then the feo WO~llQ oecome due upon the City
<br />Council reaching this decision. After a discussion, Alderman Smith
