<br />6 t/~Il <br /> <br />t <br /> <br />THE STATE OF TEXAS <br />COUNTY OF HAYS <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />We, the undersigned officers of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, DO HEREBY CERTIFY that we did officially sign $7,000 <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS STREET IMPROVEMENT WARRANTS, SERIES OF 1955, <br />issued for the purpose of paying claims incurred in constructing <br />street improvements in the City of San Marcos (being part of a <br />total authorized issue of $40,000), dated April 15, 1955, <br />Numbered 6 to 12, inclusive, in the denomination of $1,000 each, <br />bearing 3~ interest per annum, and maturing on April 15th, <br />$5,000 in 1972 and $2,000 in 1973; and that we were at the date <br />of such signatures the duly chosen, qualified and acting <br />officers indicated therein and authorized to execute the same. <br />WE FURTHER CERTIFY that claims incurred in the construction <br />of street improvements in the City of San Marcos have been duly <br />audited and allowed and declared to be the lawful indebtedness <br />of said City of San Marcos, and said indebtedness has been <br />evidenced by the issuance and delivery to the First National <br />Bank, San Marcos, Texas, the holders of said claims, of CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS STREET IMPROVEMENT WARRANTS, SERIES OF 1955, dated <br />April 15, 1955, Numbered 6 to 12, inclusive, in the denomination <br />of $1,000 each, aggregating $7,000, and that said City of San <br />Marcos has received full value and consideration for said <br />warrants Numbers 6 to 12, inclusive; and that the excess of <br />$416.60, as shown by said claims, has been carried forward to <br />the next exchange of claims for warrants. <br />WE FURTHER CERTIFY that there is no litigation pending or <br />threatened growing out of the issuance of said warrants or in <br />any way affecting the titles of the within named officers to <br />their respective offices. <br /> <br />
