I 1bere was a discussion on the claim of Mrs. D. E. Lockhart that the overflow of water from the elevated water storage t&~k situated near her property and owned by the City, had d&~aged her property. Aldel"nan Beecroft made a motion that the t~i. ty pay Ivlrs. Lockhart $250.)0 in settlement for all damages which might have occurred to her property and that the City then obtain a release from her. Alderman Allen seconded the motion. A vote was taken which resulted unanimously in favor of the motion. Mr. Barbee reported that the street department has hauled 33 loads of soil to her property and spread it over her yard. .83 A I I I I I I I I A plat of the Conway Addition No.2 out of the J. M. Veramendi Survey No. 2 was presented to the Council for approval. After studying the plat, Alderman Hill made a motion that the plat of the Conway Addition No.2 be approved. Aldel"nan Beecroft seconded the motion. A vote was taken which resulted unanimously in favor of the motion. The plat of the Conway Addition No.2 follows these minutes and is a part hereof. Mr. Barbee stated that he has been contacted by the men at the municipal airport, who plan to gravel the l"Jnways soon. They have inquired as to whether or not the City might permit them to use its trucks during this program, provided they can get the County to assist them also. Alderman Beecroft made a motion that ~~e City furnish its trucks in order that the runways at the municipal airport may be graveled. Alderrc~an Allen seconded the motion. A vote was taken which resulted unanimously in favor of the motion.
