<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />THENCE south 45 degrees west with the southeast line of <br />High street and the northwest line of Lot No. One (1) in Block No. <br />One (1) of said MacNaughton Addition, a distance of One Hundred <br />Sixty (160) feet, more or less, to the western most corner of said <br />Lot No. One (1) and to a point in the northeastern boundary line of <br />Academy Street; <br />THENCE north 45 degrees west with the extended northeast <br />line of Academy Street across High Street to a point in the south- <br />eastern boundary line of property described in and conveyed by <br />deed by Mrs. Minnie B. Schofield, a widow, to Douglas Holland and <br />wife, Irene Holland, dated August 11, 1951, and recorded in Volurne <br />150 at pages 512-513 of the deed records of Hays County, Texas; <br />THENCE north 45 degrees east along the northwestern line <br />of High Street and southeastern line of the said Holland property <br />a distance of One Hundred Sixty (160) feet to a point. <br />THENCE south 45 degrees east across High street Fifty <br />(50) feet, more or less, to the place of beginning. <br />The property here conveyed is a tract of land Fifty (50) <br />feet wide and One Hundred Sixty (160) feet long and being the south- <br />western most end of High Street of the MacNaughton Addition above <br />referred to. <br />The above mentioned deeds and the map or plat, together <br />wi,th their respective records, are here referred to and made part <br />hereof for all pertinent purposes. <br />EMERGENCY: The fact that the continued existence of the <br />above described property as a city street creates a hazard and a <br />danger to persons USing the same and using streets adjacent to the <br />above described property creates an urgency and an emergency and <br />there is a need for the im~ediate protection of property and lives <br />of citizens and inhabitants. Then by reason thereof' this ordinance <br />shall therefore take effect at once and it is accordingly ordained <br />that the same shall be effective upon its passage at first reading <br />and publication thereof as provided by the Charter of the City of <br />
