<br />lll. <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />inclusive, in the denomination of $1,000 each, aggregating <br />$85,000.00, bearing 3""1/2% interest per annum, and maturing on <br />August 15th, $10,000 in 1974, and $25,000 in each of the years <br />1975 to 1977, inclusive; which warrants were authorized for the <br />purpose of evidencing the indebtedness of the City of San Marcos <br />to be incurred in constructing fire stations and purchasing sites <br />therefor in said City, including architect's fee in connection <br />therewith, and purchasing fire equipment for said City; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council by resolution adop.ted November 23, <br />1955, authorized, ordered and directed the Mayor to publish <br />JiiO'l'ICETO BIDDERS for the construction of two fire stations in <br />the City of San Marcos; and notice of intention to pay all or a <br />part of the contract price by the issuance of warrants out of the <br />above described issue; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council affirmatively finds that said <br />notice was duly given by publication in a newspaper of general <br />circulation published in the City of San Marcos in the manner and <br />for the time provided by law, the date set for receiving bids <br />being<this 21st day of December, 1955; and, <br />WHEREAS,nopetition of any kind or character in respect to <br />said notice to. bidders and notice of intention to pay all or a <br />part of the contract price by the issuance and delivery of said <br />warrants has been filed; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore on the 21st <br />December <br /> <br />day of <br /> <br />, 1955, received, opened and considered <br /> <br />the bids for the construction of said fire stations; and, <br />WHEREAS, said bids having been found to be in proper form <br />and order and accompanied by the required deposits, and the <br />City Council desiring to award contract to the lowest and best <br />bidder; <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,TEXAS: <br />
