J J I inclusive, in the denomination of $1,000 each, aggregating $85,000.00, bearing 3""1/2% interest per annum, and maturing on August 15th, $10,000 in 1974, and $25,000 in each of the years 1975 to 1977, inclusive; which warrants were authorized for the purpose of evidencing the indebtedness of the City of San Marcos to be incurred in constructing fire stations and purchasing sites therefor in said City, including architect's fee in connection therewith, and purchasing fire equipment for said City; and, WHEREAS, the City Council by resolution adop.ted November 23, 1955, authorized, ordered and directed the Mayor to publish JiiO'l'ICETO BIDDERS for the construction of two fire stations in the City of San Marcos; and notice of intention to pay all or a part of the contract price by the issuance of warrants out of the above described issue; and, WHEREAS, the City Council affirmatively finds that said notice was duly given by publication in a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of San Marcos in the manner and for the time provided by law, the date set for receiving bids being<this 21st day of December, 1955; and, WHEREAS,nopetition of any kind or character in respect to said notice to. bidders and notice of intention to pay all or a part of the contract price by the issuance and delivery of said warrants has been filed; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore on the 21st December day of , 1955, received, opened and considered the bids for the construction of said fire stations; and, WHEREAS, said bids having been found to be in proper form and order and accompanied by the required deposits, and the City Council desiring to award contract to the lowest and best bidder; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,TEXAS:
