<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, has heretofore on <br />September 7, 1955, passed an ordinance authorizing the issuance <br />of $85,000.00 CITY OF SAN MARCOS FIRE STATION AND EQUIPMENT <br />WARRANTS, dated August 15, 1955, Numbered 1 to 85, inclusive, in <br />the denomination of $1,000 each, bearing 3-1/2% interest per <br />annum, and maturing on August 15th, $10,000 in 1974, $25,000 in <br />1975, $25,000 in 1976, and $25,000 in 1977, for the purpose of <br />evidencing the indebtedness of the City of San Marcos to be <br />incurred in constructing fire stations and purchasing sites <br />therefor in said City, including architect's fee in connection <br />therewith, and purchasing fire equipment for said City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable and necessary <br />and to the best interest of the City of San Marcos to purchase <br />certain fire equipment, to-wit: Twe (2) 500 g.p.m. Combination <br />Pumper and Booster Truck, and to pay all or a part of the cost <br />of such equipment by the issuance of warrants out of the above <br />described issue; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is proper and necessary that the City give <br />NOTICE TO BIDDERS for the purchase of such equipment; <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br />That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized, ordered and <br />directed to do all things necessary and/or convenient to have <br />published the notice to bidders required by Chapter 163, Acts <br />of the Regular Session of the 42ndLegislature of Texas, as <br />amended; that said notice shall signify the intention of the City <br />to pay .all or part of the cost of said fire equipment by the <br />issuance and delivery of interest bearing time warrants out of <br />an issue of CITY OF SAN MARCOS FIRE STATION AND EQUIPMENT <br />WARRANTS, dated August 15, 1955, authorized in the total principal <br />amount of $85,000.00, by ordinance passed by the City Council of <br />the City of San Marcos, on September 7, 1955, for the purpose of <br />evidencing the indebtedness of the City of San Marcos to be <br />
