<br />) <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />'7 <br /> <br />NOTICE TO BIDDERS <br /> <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids, addressed to Frank E. Dietterich, <br /> <br />Mayor, San Marcos, Texas, for two (2) combination pumper and booster fire trucks, <br /> <br />will be received until 2o.clock p.m., on the 18th day of April, 1956, at the <br /> <br />Office of the City Secretary, City Hall, San Marcos, Texas. <br />Specifications may be procured at the office of the City Secretary, City <br /> <br />Hall, San Marcos, Texas. <br /> <br />The City of San Marcos reserves the right to reject any and all bids and <br /> <br />to waive any ar all formalities. <br /> <br />All bids must be accompanied by a certified or cashier.s check payable <br /> <br />without recourse to the City of San Marcos, in the amount of five (5%) per cent <br /> <br />of the amount of the bid as a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder <br /> <br />will promptly enter into contract. <br /> <br />NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that it is the intention of the City Council of the <br /> <br />City of San Marcos to pay all or a part of the cost of said equipment by the <br /> <br />issuance and delivery of interest bearing time warrants out of an issue of <br /> <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS FIRE STATION AND EQUIPMENT WARRANTS, dated August 15, 1955, <br /> <br />bearing 3~1/2% interest per annum, and having a maximum maturity of August 15, <br /> <br />1977, heretofore authorized by the City Council in the total principal amount <br /> <br />of $85,000.00, by ordinance passed September 7, 1955, for the purpose of <br /> <br />evidencing the indebtedness of the City of San Marcos to be incurred in con- <br /> <br />structing fire stations and purchasing sites therefor in said City, including <br /> <br />architect's fees in connection therewith, and purchasing fire equipment <br /> <br />for said City. <br /> <br />The City will make arrangements for the contractor to dispose of the warrants <br /> <br />herein mentioned at not less than par, and the contractor must agree to deliver <br /> <br />the warrants at such price to the party with whom the City has made such <br /> <br />arrangements. <br /> <br />GIVEN PURSUANT to a resolution adopted by the City Oouncil of the City of <br /> <br />San Marcos, Te;<as, on the 28th day of March, 1956",//; <br /> <br />(~. /:: ,~ <br />\ /', ~ <br />---' "/ , <br /> <br />
