) I I '7 NOTICE TO BIDDERS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids, addressed to Frank E. Dietterich, Mayor, San Marcos, Texas, for two (2) combination pumper and booster fire trucks, will be received until 2o.clock p.m., on the 18th day of April, 1956, at the Office of the City Secretary, City Hall, San Marcos, Texas. Specifications may be procured at the office of the City Secretary, City Hall, San Marcos, Texas. The City of San Marcos reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any ar all formalities. All bids must be accompanied by a certified or cashier.s check payable without recourse to the City of San Marcos, in the amount of five (5%) per cent of the amount of the bid as a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into contract. NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that it is the intention of the City Council of the City of San Marcos to pay all or a part of the cost of said equipment by the issuance and delivery of interest bearing time warrants out of an issue of CITY OF SAN MARCOS FIRE STATION AND EQUIPMENT WARRANTS, dated August 15, 1955, bearing 3~1/2% interest per annum, and having a maximum maturity of August 15, 1977, heretofore authorized by the City Council in the total principal amount of $85,000.00, by ordinance passed September 7, 1955, for the purpose of evidencing the indebtedness of the City of San Marcos to be incurred in con- structing fire stations and purchasing sites therefor in said City, including architect's fees in connection therewith, and purchasing fire equipment for said City. The City will make arrangements for the contractor to dispose of the warrants herein mentioned at not less than par, and the contractor must agree to deliver the warrants at such price to the party with whom the City has made such arrangements.
