TROUGHS . & LOcKs ...The suction hose brackets to be made <br />of tubular steel to conform with ladder brackets, to be fastened to the <br />body in like manner. The Suction HOSE TROUGHS to be constructed of 12 <br />gauge metal and of sufficient length to hold the hard suction hose in <br />straight line. Suction hose locks to be of quick-acting type. The <br />locks to be made of brass and chromium-plated. <br />BODY RAILINGS & CROSS BAR... To be made of 1" brass pipe chromium-plated and exteJ\d <br />all the way along top of hose body on both sides from front to rear to <br />a point flush with bottom of body. To be fastened by means' of 14 heavy <br />chromium-plated stanchions. A chromium-plated bar across the rear of <br />hose body. This bar to be approximately 14" above top of body. This <br />bar to be fastened to the rear suction hose bracket on left side and to <br />the rear ladder bracket on right side. Two chromium-plated rear pick-up <br />lights to be fastened on both s:i.dE's of the crossbar. <br />REAR STEP. RUNNING BOARDS & DUST SHIELDS... The rear step or platform and running <br />boards to be made of 1/8" diamond floorplate, .., the outer edges to be <br />rounded to form a 2t" lip. The cornerS of the re<lr step to be covered <br />with a brass chromium-plated casting. Under rear step a It" x It" x 1/4 <br />angle iron welded on underneath side for reinforcement to form a bumper. <br />The rear step to extend the. full width of truck from out to but of fenders <br />and to be about 24" deep. The side running boards to be made in like <br />manner. The splash aprons to extend the full length of the body, entire- <br />ly concealing the springs arid spring shackles, and 'across the rear end, <br />to form a complete enclosure.
