<br />If/ <br /> <br />''''III. <br /> <br />May 15, 1956 <br /> <br />OFFICIAL NOTICE OF SALE <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />$350,000.00 <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS <br />STBEET IMPROVEMENT BONDS <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas will receive sealed bids <br />in the Connci,l Chambers at the City Hall at 2: 00 P. M. on May 23, 1956 on the <br />above bonds more completely described in the following pages. <br /> <br />Bidders are requested to specify the rate or rates of interest the bonds <br />will bear, which will bring a bid of not less than par plus accrued interest <br />but no bid specifying an interest rate in excess of 3-1/2'/0 will be considered. <br />No more than three coupon rates - in multiples of 1/8 of 1%. <br /> <br />All bids must be submitted on the "Official Bid Form" copies of which are <br />attached hereto. Additional copies of the "Official Notice of Sale" and the <br />bid forms may be secured from Mr. W. G. Barbee, controller, San Marcos, Texas <br />or Russ & Company, Alamo National Building, San Antonio, Texas, fiscal agents <br />for the City. Bids are to be addressed to Honorable Frank Diette~ich, Mayor, <br />eit;\' of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> <br />Esch bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Cashier's Check in the <br />amount of $7,000. The check of the successful bidder will be held by the City <br />uncashed pending payment for the bohds in accordance with the bid. In the <br />event the successful bidder should fan or refuse to mal(e payment for the bonds, <br />said check is to be caShed by the City of San Marcos and its proceeds retained <br />as full and complete liquidated damages. Checks of unsuccessful bidders will <br />be returned promptly. <br /> <br />,I <br /> <br />The City will furnish the printed bonds and the unqualified approving <br />opinion of Messrs. Gibson, Spence & Gibson, Austin, Texas. <br /> <br />Delivery of the bonds wiD be made at the American National Banl(, Austin, <br />Texas.
