<br />-I <br /> <br />THE STATE OF TEXAS <br />COUNTY OF HAYS <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />We, the undersigned officers of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />DO HEREBY CERTIFY that we did offiCially sign $8,000.00 CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS FIRE STATION AND EQUIPMENT WARRANTS dated August 15, <br />1955, Numbered 43 to 50, inclusive, in the denomination of $1,000 <br />each, bearing 3t% interest per annum, and maturing on August 15th, <br />1976, being part of a total authorized issue of $85,000.00 author- <br />ized by ordinance passed by the City Council of the City of San <br />Marcos on September 7, 1955, for the purpose of evidencing the <br />indebtedness of the City of San Mar,cos to be incurred in construc- <br />ting fire stations and purchasing sites therefor in said City, <br />including architect's fee in connection therewith, and purchasing <br />fire equipment for said City; and that we were at the date of such <br />signatures the duly chosen, qualified and acting officers indicated <br />therein and authorized to execute the same. <br />WE FURTHER CERTIFY that claims incurred in the construction <br />of fire stations have been duly audited and allowed and declared <br />to be the lawful indebtedness of the City of San Marcos, and said <br />indebtedness has been evidenced by the issuance and,delivery of <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS FIRE STATION AND EQUIPMENT WARRANTS dated <br />August 15, 1955, Numbered 43 to 50, inclusive, in the denomination <br />of $1,000 each, aggregating $8,000.00, to the First National Bank, <br />San Marcos, Texas, the holder of said claims, and that said City of <br />San Marcos has received full value and consideration for said <br />Warrants Numbered 43 to 50, inclusive; and that the excess of <br />$852.44, as shown by said claim has been carried forward to the <br />next exchange of claims for warrants. <br />WE FURTHER CERTIFY that there is no litigation pending or <br />threatened growing out, of the issuance of said warrants or in any <br />way affecting the titles of the within named officers to their <br />respective offices. <br /> <br />I <br />
