I WHEREAS, said claim in the amount of $8,852.44 has been duly and legally transferred and assigned to the FIRST NATIONAL BANK, SAN MARCOS, TEXAS; and, WHEREAS, it was provided in said ordinance above referred to that said warrants above described should be executed, issued and delivered in payment of claims duly approved, audited and allowed by the City Council; and, WHEREAS, the City Council desires to approve and allow said claim and to authorize the delivery of CITY OF SAN MARCOS FIRE STATION AND EQUIPMENT WARRANTS to evidence said indebtedness; THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: I. That the claim hereinabove listed incurred in the construc- I tion of fire stations in the City of San Marcos in the amount of $8,852.44, be and the same is hereby allowed and approved and declared to be the lawful indebtedness of said City; and that the assignment of said claim to the First National Bank, San Marcos, Texas, be and the same is hereby approved and accepted. II. That in accordance with this ordinance and with the ordinance of the City Council passed September 7, 1955, there shall be executed and delivered to the First National Bank, San Marcos, I I II Texas, CITY OF SAN MARCOS FIRE STATION AND EQUIPMENT WARRANTS, Numbers 43 to 50, inclusive, in the denomination of $1,000.00 each, aggregating $8,000.00, evidencing the indebtedness due by the City of San Marcos, Texas, to said First National Bank, San Marcos, Texas, as assignee of said claim; and that the excess of $852.44, as shown by said claim, be carried forward to the next exchange of claims for warrants. III. That the City of San Marcos having received full value and consideration for the warrants hereinabove described, the City ~
