<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />l'i () '\ <br /> <br />connection therewith, in the total amount of $12,875.06, be and the <br />same are hereby allowed and approved and declared to be the lawful <br />indebtedness of said City; and that the assignment of said claims <br />to the First National Bank, San Marcos, Texas, be and the same is <br />hereby approved and accepted. <br /> <br />II. <br />That in accordance with this ordinance and with the ordinance <br />of the City Council passed September 7,1955, there shall be exe- <br />cuted and delivered to the First National Bank, San Marcos, Texas, <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS FIRE STATION AND EQUIPMENT WARRANTS, Numbers 74 <br />to 85, inclusive, in the denomination of $1,000 each aggregating <br />$12,000.00, evidencing the indebtedness due by the City of San <br />Marcos, Texas, to said First National Bank, San Marcos, Texas, as <br />assignee of said claims; and that the excess of $875.06, as shown <br />by said claims, be paid in cash by the City. <br />III. <br />That the City of San Marcos having received full value and <br />consideration for the warrants hereinabove described, the City <br />Treasurer is hereby authorized and instructed to register said <br />warrants, and after registration thereof, to deliver same to the <br />First National Bank, San Marcos, Texas, and the Mayor Pro Tern, <br />City Secretary and City Treasurer, are hereby authorized to <br />execute such other and further instruments, certificates and state- <br />ments as shall be necessary, convenient or appropriate to reflect <br />the entire validity of said warrants. <br />IV. <br />By reason of the fact that the City Council of the City of <br />San Marcos, Texas, considers the passage of this ordinance necess- <br />ary for the general welfare of said City, and of its citizens, <br />it is hereby declared to be an emergency measure demanding that <br />the rule requiring ordinances to be read at more than one meeting <br />of the City Council be suspended, and that this ordinance take <br />effect immediately from and after its passage, and it is so <br />ordained. <br />
