Parker, claim- i~g to be the only parties owning lots within said Blankenship and II Carruthers Addition, have petitioned the City of San Marcos that the hereinafter described portions of Loop Street be declared as abandon- ed, discontinued and closed as a public street; the said J. Searcy Smith and Ross Arnold claiming to be the only parties owning lots "ithin said addition that also abut upon the portions of Loop Street hereinafter described, also petitioning the City of San Marcos that it quitclaim to them, respectively, all of its interest in such por- tions of Loop Street as hereinafter described. 2. That the mayor of the City of San Marcos, therefore, be, and he is hereby ordered, authorized, directed and empowered to execute and deliver in the name of and for and in behalf of said I city, quitclaims to J. Searcy Smith and Ross Arnold, of San Marcos, Texas, said quitclaims to cover all interests of the City of San Harcos in and to the portions of Loop Street described by metes and bounds as follows: (a) TO J. SEARCY SHITH: BEGINNING at an iron pipe for the most Eastern corner of Lot 4 of the Blankenship and Carruthers Addition as of record in Volume 56, page 460 of the Deed Records of Hays County, Texas, and at the West corner of the most Eastern angle of Loop Street and from which point a Live Oak tree, 13 inches in diameter, marked X, bears S. 440 03' w. 22.4 feet; - THENCE with the Southwest line of Loop Street and the Northeast line of Lots 4, 3, and 2, N. 620 22' W. 319.4& feet to an iron pipe for the Northeast corner of Lot 2; THENCE with the South line of Loop Street and the North line of Lot 2, S. 860 50' W. 81:38 feet to an iron pipe for the Northeast corner of Lot 1; I THENCE N. 450 55' W. 27.23 feet to an iron pipe for the center of Loop Street; THENCE with the center of Loop Street, S. 860 50' W. 100.45 feet to an iron pipe in the center of Loop Street; THENCE N. 430 30' E. 29.14 feet to an iron pipe for the most Western corner of Lot 16; THENCE with the North line of Loop Street and the South line of Lots 16 and 15, N. 860 50' E. 190.28 feet to an iron pipe for the most Western corner of Lot f4; THENCE with the Northeast line of Loop Street and the Southwest line of Lots 14, 13, 12, 11 and a part of Lot 10, S. 620 22' E. 350.94 feet to an iron pipe for the most Eastern corner; THENCE S. 540 50' W. 44.97 feet to the place of beginning.
