/$ ,;z

I

Mr. Rogers stated that the water lines in this addition, at the
present time, were only 2" lines and had very little pressure for users
on the line. He felt that this addition should be in the City Limits
and should be placed on the tax roll. Should this addition be brought
into the City Limits, it would require extending water and sewer lines,
approximately 5,580 ft. of 6" water pipes and 2,550 ft. of 6" sewer
lines at an estimated cost of $35,400.00. Approximately three-fourths
(3/4) of proposed new lines would be in approaching the connecting
lirE! s. It was suggested by Mr. Rogers that he pay one-half of the cost
of expense of the installation of the line, and after drawing up a pe-
tition and finding what the approximate evaluation would be, then he
would assume the difference on the original taxable evaluation until
such time it would reach sufficient evaluation to amortize the project
in five (5) years.

Mr. Rogers requested that should he be able to obtain a completed
petition, he would like to be accepted into the City Limits before the
1st of January, 1953.

At this time it was the unanimous decision by the Council, and
Mr. RogeI's was informed that under the above stated terms, if he could
obtain a petition containing signatures of a majority of the inhabi-
tants of the Spring Lake Hills Estates to come into the City Limits
of the City of San Marcos, and meet all legal requirements, the Council
would approve the aoceptance of this annexation into the City Limits
of San Marcos, as of January 1, 1958.

Mr. Earl Allen met the Council and stated that he had four duplexes
which had eight (8) meters, with his.own, totaled nine (9) connections.
He requested that these be installed on one meter. It was suggested by
Mayor Allen to place each duplex on a separate meter, which was unani-
mously agreed upon by all Council Members present.

There being no further business, the Council, on motion, adjourned
at 5:00 o'clock P. M.

I

(f ."-/J7.~1 ('(- / (.
~ // \ \\ C,: /)\,/
c. M. Allen, 'M-ayor

It/2;!1 J): . '/
. l;,AI)-:.t/?"jc/./
w.
