<br />ci)[JCL <br /> <br />INVITATION TO BID <br /> <br />SEALED PROPOSALS, endorsed "Bid on Aerial Photography" will be received by the <br />City of San Marcos, Office of the city Manager, City Hall, San Marcos, Texas, <br />until 2o'clock P.M., cst, Tuesday March 25, 1958, at which time and place all <br />bids will be publically opened and read aloud. Bids requested are for furnish- <br />ing all services required for aerial photo9raphy, mosaics and mapping, all in <br />accordance with the specifications. Specifications and bidding data may be ob- <br />tained from the City of San Marcos, Box 13, San Marcos, Texas. <br /> <br />f The right is reserved, as the interest of the City of San Marcos may require, <br />to reject any or all bids and waive informalities in bidding. <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> B. Fuller <br /> City Manager <br /> * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br />San Marcos, Texas <br /> <br />* * <br /> <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />* * <br /> <br />It is required that the bidder furnish all services, cameras, airplanes, <br />equipment and supplies necessary to provide precision aerial photography for <br />approximately twenty-five (25) square miles of an area encompassing the City of <br />San Marcos and environs. <br /> <br />The photography shall be flown with suitable focal length lens and with <br />the necessary forward overlap and sidelap coverage to compile a two foot contour <br />interval topographic map, if and when required. The camera used shall be a pre- <br />cision mapping camera, certified by a competent testing agency to meet the stan- <br />dards prescribed by the National Bureau of Standards. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The Photo Atlas sheets shall be photographically copies from a mosaic <br />constructed by an assembly of rectified prints ratioed and mounted to a semi- <br />controlled accuracy standards. The delivery Photo Atlas Sheets, scale 1" = 200', <br />shall under no conditions be enlarged more than three diameters from the scale <br />of the aerial photographic negatiVes. The City of San Marcos will furnish dis- <br />tances, as required, to meet the accuracy standards; however, stereotriangulation, <br />radial plot, or equivalent system must be utilized to hold the required distances <br />to a practical minimum consistent with the accuracy required. <br /> <br />Specific requirements are: <br /> <br />a. Aerial coverage of the area furnished on one (1) set double <br />weight, semi-matted stereoscopic coverage prints and two (2) <br />reduced prints of the stapled photo index assembly. <br /> <br />h. Photo atlas sheets, scale 1" = 200', bound in book form and <br />suitably indexed. Overall sheet approximately 18" x 30", <br />sheets printed on semi-matted paper mounted on linen. Atlas <br />sheets to be semi-controlled as to accuracy. Wall mosaic, <br />scale 1" = 500', mounted on masonite and suitably framed. <br /> <br />, <br />
