<br />29 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 1981-34 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS AMENDING THAT ORDINANCE ADOPTED APRIL 6, 1981, WHIŒ <br />ORDERED A RUNOFF EI.æTION TO BE :HELD IN SAID CITY ON MAY 2, <br />1981, FOR THE OFFICES OF COUNCIL Mll1BER PLACE 3 AND COUl\CIL <br />MEMBER PLACE 4 BY DESIGNATING PLACES OF HOLDING SUCH ELECTION <br />AND :NAM.ING THE OFFICERS THEREFORE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a Regular Ci ty Election was conducted in the Ci ty of San Harcos, <br />Tey,as on April 4, 1981; and <br /> <br />v-lliEREAS, no candidate for Council Menber, Place 3 and no candidate for Council <br />Merrber place 4 received a majority of all votes cast at the said regular election <br />held in April 4, 1981; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ci ty Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas adopted an ordinance <br />on April 6, 1981, ordering a runoff election in said city on May 2, 1981 to fill <br />said offices; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said ordinance did not designate the polling places for holding such <br />election, the officers thereof or the rate of pay for judges and clerks of the <br />election; new, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN rlIARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SF,cTION 1.
