<br />?/~./i <br /> <br />INVITATION TO BID <br /> <br />SEALED PROPOSALS, endorsed "Bid on Accounting Machine" will be received by the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, Office of the City Manager, City Hall, San Marcos, <br />Texas, until 2:00 o'clock P. M., cst, June 9, 1958, at which time and place all <br />bids received will be publically opened and read aloud. Bids requested are for <br />furnishing an electrically operated bookkeeping-accounting and billing machine, <br />all in accordance with the specifications. FULLER <br />City Manager <br />* * * * <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />The machine called for in these specifications must be designed primarily as a <br />bookkeeping-accounting billing machine. It shall be capable of accurately per- <br />forming tax accounting and utility billing. More specifically the machine shall: <br /> <br />Be electrically operated, motor driven, having a totaling <br />capacity of twelve (12) digits, visible line guides, ad- <br />justable and removable form guides, keyboard dater (month, <br />day and year), capable of multiple-total adding and/or sub- <br />tracting, and proof of miscellaneous items of posting~ <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />TAX A9XlurnIr<<:i1 <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Tax Billinq <br /> <br />The machine shall automatically compute and print the total <br />valuations (land, improvements and/or personal and total valuation) and <br />receipt number on the tax journal, individual ledger sheet and the tax <br />statement, multiply and print the total tax and accumulate and print the <br />totals of the valuations and the tax. <br /> <br />The carriage shall open and close automatically maintaining <br />full visibility of current and previous lines of tax billing, receipt <br />numbers, etc., on the tax bill ledger and tax statement. The machine <br />must be capable of computing the tax automatically employing a rate of <br />three digits. (Machine to be set on a tax rate of $2.00). <br /> <br />-. <br />
