<br />/ift'T,- A <br /> <br />INVITATIO>> TO BID <br /> <br />SEALED PROPOSALS, endorsed "Bid on Motor Vehicle" will be received by the City <br />of San Marcos, Office of the City Manager, San Marcos, Texas, until 11 o'clock A.M< <br />cst., Tuesday, July 15, 1958, at which time and place all bids received will be <br />publically opened and read aloud. Bids requested are for furnishing a 195B model <br />motor vehicle in accordance with the specifications. Bids are requested for a 1958 model motor vehicle meeting the following <br />requirements: <br /> <br />a. Chassis and Bodv: <br />Vehicle to be four (4) door sedan, painted white (or <br />other color as selected by City), equipped with direc- <br />tional signals, heater and defroster, right and left <br />sun visors and arm rests on front doors. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />b. Transmission: <br />Transmission shall be automatic. <br /> <br />c. Wheelbase: <br />Vehicle shall have a wheelbase of 116" or more. <br /> <br />d. EnQine: <br />Six cylinder model shall be capable of developing 145 HP, <br />or more, and shall be equipped with oil filter and air <br />cleaner. <br /> <br />Eight cylinder model shall be capable of developing in <br />excess of 200 HP and shall be equipped with an oil <br />filter and air cleaner. <br /> <br />2. Alternate bids are requested as fOllows. <br /> <br />a; Six cylinder model in accordance with above requirements. <br /> <br />b. Eight cylinder model in accordance with above requirements. <br /> <br />3. Taxes. <br />~al Excise Taxes are not to be included as an exemption certificate will <br />be furnished. <br /> <br />I: <br /> <br />4, City of San Marcos offers as a trade-in the following. <br /> <br />A 1954 model black 2-door Ford sedan, as is. <br /> <br />5. It is necessary that a firm delivery date be indicated by the bidder. <br /> <br />6.
