The City Manager reported to the Council on the progress made by
Brown School in their proposed building program, stating that the plans had
been prepared and that construction should start early in 1959. AldeI'man Steakley suggested that the City participate
in the utility extent ion in proportion to the amount of the construction which
is inside the City and which would be subject to taxation. This suggestion
was unanimously approved by the Council and Mayor Allen Bsked the City Manager
to contBct the officials of tbe Brown School and notify them of the Councils'
action.

..
\~3I~~~,7

I

Alderman Hillburn reported to the Council that the hospital had con-
tacted him regarding the possibility of the installation of alight in front of
the hospital on Quarry and Belvin, and Veramendi & Belvin.
