<br />-- <br />189 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE REGULATING PARKING OF VEHICLES <br />ON i~EST HOPKINS STREET: MAKING IT UNLAWFUL <br />TO PARK ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF SAID STREET: <br />MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO PARK ANY VEHICLE IN <br />ANY MANNER OTHER THAN PARALLEL TO IHE CURB <br />LINE ON CERTAIN PORI IONS OF SAID STREET; <br />REPEALING ALL ORD INANCES IN CONFLICT; PRO- <br />VIDlN3 A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION; CONTAINING <br />A SEVERABILITY PROVISION; FIXING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE HEREOF <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BCOY OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. It shall hereafter be unlawful to park any <br />vehicle on the Northwest side of West Hopkins Street between Scott <br />Street and a point four hundred feet,(400'), north of Bishop Street. <br /> <br />Section 2. On any portion of Farm-to-Market Road Number <br />2439 within the city limits of the City of San Marcos, which is not <br />included in Section 1 above, it shall hereafter be unlawful to park <br />any vehicle other than parallel to the regularly established curb line, <br />with the two right wheels of the vehicle within twelve (12) inches of <br />the said regularly established curb line. <br /> <br />Section 3. All ordinances and/or parts of ordinances in <br />conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Section 4. In the event any word, sentence, paragraph, <br />provision, group of words, or any other portion of this ordinance <br />shall be by compe:tent authority held to be unconstitutional or unlawful, <br />such holding shall not affect the remaining portions hereof. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect from and after <br />the date of its publication in the San Marcos Record, a weekly newspaper <br />regularly published within the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos. <br /> <br />Section 6. <br />ordinance, or any part <br />upon conviction, shall <br />Dollars ($200.00). <br /> <br />Any person found guilty of violating this <br />hereof, shall be guilty of a miSdemeanor, and, <br />be fined in any amount not exceeding Two Hundred <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this the 12th day of November, <br />A.
