<br />rB) <br />2~~2 <br /> <br />The Council was informed that the Mayor, r,liayor pro-t8ffi and City <br />Manager had met wi~h off:cials at Camp Gary regarding 2 lease on the <br />San rc,1arcos Municipal A!irporc. The City to provide certain improvements <br />to the runways in exchange for a monthly rental fee. Ci ty ;~'lat1ag0r Fuller <br />stated the City had proposed to provide the improvements in three (3) <br />phases, however, Camp Gary officials expressed interest primarily in Phase <br />One, as follows; <br /> <br />o <br />rLi <br />t::l <br />= <br />Co <br /> <br />Provide 40' s'crip of stabilized base on <br />Ohc Bnd RunwBY TWO. Acquire additional <br />West side Runway. Schockner appeared very enthusias- I <br />tic about entering into such a lease with the City and had, in turn, contacted <br />Fourth Army officials and they were interested. The City Manager requested <br />the Council approve the agreement that a completed 1~as0 could be forwarded <br />to Fourth .Army. The City ivlanager stated that any monies spent on additional <br />land acquistion and right-af-way should be approved by FAA so that the City <br />might late:!::" receive a reimbursement of the cost. from FAA.. Motion was then <br />made by Alderman Korff and seconded by Alderulan Steakley that the City offer <br />a lease for Phase One imQTOVements to CamD Gary officials, imGrovements to <br />be subject to approval by FAA, rent to beL payable annually, i~ advance, <br />with a minimum contract for 0. three (3) year period in the total amount of <br />$8,103.00. Upon roll call the motion received che following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes ~ <br /> <br />AlderDen Beecroft <br />Davis <br />Hillhurn <br />Korff <br />Steakley <br /> <br />Nayes: None <br /> <br />Motion was then made by Alderman Beecroft, seconded by Alderman Korff that <br />upon acceptance of the lease by Camp Gary, to authorize the J'flayor to sign <br />the Construction Agreement, which waS unanimously approved. <br /> <br />City til\anager Fuller Seated that iv;r. Sam Lyle had contacted him and ex- <br />pressed his interest in building some additional houses in the Park Place <br />Addi tion subdivision. At the time Mr. Lyle built his home, Park Place <br />j~ddition, he was not inte:l'ested in running a large ~lJater line -to his pro- <br />perty but did install, at his o~'Jn expens€', a private line to his residence. <br />Mr. Lyle 'Nas info.rmed that a 611 line llJOuld be :required in the event any <br />additional houses are constructed, however, he feels that this is not <br />necessary and, requests the Council grant him pe:I'lnission to install only <br />2 Ltt line. The city Manager' stated that this would not be 5ufficien-~ for <br />any future expansion and IV.JQuld, more than likely, have to be replaced in <br />the future 2t the Cityst expense. Upon motion made by Alderman Davis, <br />seconded by Alderman Hillbu:rn, to inform Mr. Lyle that he would hElve to <br />comply with the Subdivision Ol'dinance, 'J'jhich was unanimously approved. <br /> <br />I <br />
