Fuller Carlyn Tatch City Manager City Secretary Hugh Dickson, Engineer R. E. L. Johnsori, Engineer Mr. Elmer Satterwhite The meeting was called to arde" by Mayor Allen. Mr. Elmer Satterwhite requested permission to present a request for the opening of Pat Garrison Street through his property from Fredericksburg Street to Guadalupe Street. Mr. Satterwhite explained that he had an opportunity to see a portion of his property (that fTonting on Guadalupe Streee) to the Humble Oil Company and that he would need an entrance to the pToperty x'emaining at the rear. fVlr. Satt~rwhite told the Council that he would be willing to give a 30 foot stree<: along the northern edge of his property. upon investiga--cion it was discovered by the Council that l.he street as suggested by Mr. Satterwhite would not nline-uptl with either Pat Garrison or Colorado Street-s. :=t was suggested by the Ci,ty Manager that Mr. Sa~t~rNhi~e consider dedicating a 40 foot street, as this \NaS the l1\ini:nur'[l acceptabls under present policy. MayoI' Allen stated, in his opinion, this narrow street would create a traffic hazard as it did not coincide with exis'Ling streets as ttlere was an off-set in the alignment~ It was the opinion or the Council that the street should ~e at least as wi_de as existing Pat Garrison Street. Mr. 3atter~hite was requested to make a further study of the property available for dedication as a street. hhen he had arrived at a decision on whether he wanted a street and the wicith he would be willing to give, to advise the. City ~)ecI'etary .uvho would notify the Council. Mr. Sat-'Ler'Nhite was assured that he could get an immediate decision and answer from the Council when he had decided what he would like to do. The Council received for study a tabula-z,ion of bids r'eceived OD the Sewage freatment PlaOlt Improvements and Lift Station Improvements, bids having been opened at 2:00 o'clock .M. and 3:00 o'clock P.M. respectively.
