Johnsori, Engineer <br /> <br />Mr. Elmer Satterwhite <br /> <br />The meeting was called to arde" by Mayor Allen. Mr. Elmer Satterwhite <br />requested permission to present a request for the opening of Pat Garrison <br />Street through his property from Fredericksburg Street to Guadalupe Street. <br />Mr. Satterwhite explained that he had an opportunity to see a portion of his <br />property (that fTonting on Guadalupe Streee) to the Humble Oil Company and <br />that he would need an entrance to the pToperty x'emaining at the rear. fVlr. <br />Satt~rwhite told the Council that he would be willing to give a 30 foot <br />stree<: along the northern edge of his property. upon investiga--cion it was <br />discovered by the Council that l.he street as suggested by Mr. Satterwhite <br />would not nline-uptl with either Pat Garrison or Colorado Street-s. :=t was <br />suggested by the Ci,ty Manager that Mr. Sa~t~rNhi~e consider dedicating a 40 <br />foot street, as this \NaS the l1\ini:nur'[l acceptabls under present policy. MayoI' <br />Allen stated, in his opinion, this narrow street would create a traffic <br />hazard as it did not coincide with exis'Ling streets as ttlere was an off-set <br />in the alignment~ It was the opinion or the Council that the street should <br />~e at least as wi_de as existing Pat Garrison Street. <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Mr. 3atter~hite was requested to make a further study of the property <br />available for dedication as a street. hhen he had arrived at a decision <br />on whether he wanted a street and the wicith he would be willing to give, to <br />advise the. City ~)ecI'etary .uvho would notify the Council.
