<br />/.6 -,4 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY, <br />AND THE UlHAE IT A"TS THEREOF, ADJOINING <br />THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, I~TO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />HERETOFORE, by instrument duly filed in the offices <br /> <br />of the City of San Marcos, a municipal corporation in Hays <br /> <br />County, Texas, operating under the General Law, three inhabitants <br /> <br />of the hereinafter described territory made affidavit to the <br /> <br />effect that a majority of the inhabitants of said territory, <br /> <br />qualified to vote for members of the State Legislature, voted in <br /> <br />favor of becoming a part of said city; and this Governing Body, <br /> <br />having examined said affidavit, and having examined the written <br /> <br />instrument by v'lhich said majority of 52.id inhabitants voted in <br /> <br />favor of becoming a part of ~his City, does here now find that <br /> <br />said territory adjoins the present city limits line; that SJid <br /> <br />territory is less than one-half mile in width; that a majority <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />of the inhabitants of said territory qualified to vote for members <br /> <br />of the State Legislature have voted in favor of becoming a part <br /> <br />of this City; that three of said inhabitants of said territory <br /> <br />have made affidavit to the Mayor of this City to the foregoing <br /> <br />facts; that the Mayor of this City has certified, and does <br /> <br />here nov~ certify, such facts to the Governing Body of this City; <br /> <br />that s2id territory, and the inhabitants thereof~ under the law <br /> <br />and under the foregoing facts, should be received as a part <br /> <br />of this City; that said territory is described as follows by <br /> <br />metes and bounds ~ <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />BEGINNING at a concrete monument far the South corner <br />of that ~ract of land descrj,bed in a deed from A. B. Rogers to <br />Paul J. rtogcrs recorded in Volume 137, page 371, of the Deed <br />Records of Hays County, Texas, s,3.id concrete monument being on <br />the North line of the Juan Veramendi League and the South line <br />of the T. J. Chamcers Survey in Hays County, Texas, said ccncrete <br />monument being also an angle point in the present city limit line; <br /> <br />TI--fL~)jCE, with the pTesent city 1imit N. 360 00' E.. <br />2,100 feet, Dore or less, to a concrete monument on the South <br />line of the Brawn property, same being the North line of th~t <br />tre.ct of lc,nd described in a deed from jas. !',,:oore to Paul J. <br />i~ogers alia recorded in VolUfJe 151, page 34, of -the Des.d Records <br />of i-fays County, Ts.xas; <br /> <br />L <br />
