The 'Council instructed the City Manager to
make an investigation and report to the Council.

City Manager Fuller presented a request for street lights in the
South End and Victory Garden Addition. It will require a minimum of 12
lights to provide service to the area, giving only minimum coverage. The
Council discussed the matter and instructed the City Manager to apply for
them.

The City Manager requested that the Council approve an office machine
maintenance contract with Klipple Office Equipment Company. Due to a lack of time to consider
the matter properly it was postp~ned.

The City Manager informed the Council that the San Marcos Telephone
Company requests a waiver from the provisions of the tariff regulations,
the provision requiring installation charges equivalent to installation
costs, in order that they may make the Hays County Memorial Hospital
installation as a public service. The Council decided, after carefully
consi~ering the matter, to grant the request.

City Manager Fuller informed the Council that they are invited to a
Dessert Party on November 11th from 7:30 to 9:00 P.M., LCRA auditorium,
honoring Max Starke on the occasion of his 75th birthday.

The Council was informed by the City Manager that repairs to the roof
at the recreation building are badly needed.
