. ~~:l , THE STATE OF TEXAS THE COUNTY OF HAYS This agreement made and entered into by and between the CITY OF SAN MARCOS, Hays County, Texas, hereinafter called the CITY, acting by and through its Mayor, duly authorized, and THE COUNTY OF HAYS, Texas, here- inafter called COUNTY, acting by and through its County Judge, duly authorized pursuant to an order of the Commissioners Court, a copy of which is hereto attached; WITNESSETH The City agrees to furnish for the use and benefit of the citizens of Hays County, Texas, residing outside of the city limits of the City of ~an Marcos, a fire truck, together with such personnel and fire- fighting supplies as is necessary to maintain and operate the same for a period beginning on the 16th day of January, 1960, and terminating on the 15th of January, 1961, subject to the following terms and con- di tions: A. The City through its employee, during the term of this agreement, will assist in fire fighting anywhere within the limits of Hays County, Texas, in accordance with the provisions of Paragraph III A, hereinafter set out. B. In this connection, when reporting to any fire outside the city limits of the City of San Marcos, Texas, it is understood and agreed between the parties hereto that this agreement is under the conditions and terms of Article 2351a-l of the Revised Civil Statutes of the State of Texas. II AS compensation for the fire protection services performed during the term of this contract by the City, the County agrees to pay the sum of ONE THOUoAt'm EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ($1,800.00).
