~"'l j14,1i ~ ::0 ~ n C'"j Mr. Bill Veidt, KCNY, has requested that the City protest Radio Station KNOW, Austin, being increased from 250 to 1000 Watts. Mr. Veidt feels,that this increase will infringe on the KCNY'signal and decrease its value to the community. Alderman Hillburn made the motion that a RESOLtITION OF PROTEST be prepared and forWaI'ded to FCC in Washington. Alderman Davis ,seconded; motion carried. Property owners below the^Mo-Pac railroad bridge have requested I that the City assist them by cleaning the river by their property. Alderman Korff moved that the City proceed with the work at a charge, to the property owners, of $8.00 per hour. Alderman Beecroft seconded; motion carried. Mr. Searcy Smith would like to have the City construct some type of turn-around at 'the end of Loop Street. The Council, after some discussion, asked Mr. Fuller.to 'contact Mr. Smith about reopening and rededication of that portion of'Loop Street which is now closed. Alderman Hillburn made the 'motion that the City purchase a trophy, at a cost of $25.00 for the Camp Gary sports car races sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. Alderman Beecroft seconded; motion carried. Alderman Beecroft moved a RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION to County, whose capable hands have had such excellent program to date. Aldexman Davis seconded, motion carried. Mayor Allen requested that a supply of copies be given Mr. Fleenor. Mr. Fleenor to make any disposition of the copies that he may uesire. The Council approved the City Manager's request for temporary help to assist in the preparation of a planning report' and 5 year public improvements program.
