Alderman Davis seconded the motion of adoption and <br />upon roll call the ayes and naves were: <br /> <br />AYE::;: Aldermen Beecroft <br />Davi s <br />Korff <br />Tuttle <br /> <br />NAYE:S: None <br /> <br />Whereupon Mayor Allen declared the ordinance approved and <br /> <br />adopted. <br /> <br />Mr. ::;altonstall has requested that the City open Brown <br />:street that he may enter his property from the rear. The Council <br />authorized the City Manager to proceed with grading of the street as <br />soon as the work could be conveniently scheduled. <br /> <br />Alderman Tuttle introduced an ordinance and moved its adopt- <br />ion. The ordinance which is captioned: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING BLANCO ~TREET AS A DETOUR ROUTE <br />DUrtING CONt.iTRUCTION ON MOORE STREET AND REGULATING TRAFFIC <br />THEREON. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />was read in full. Alderman Beecroft seconded the motion of adoption <br />and upon roll call the ayes and nayes were: <br /> <br />AYES: Alderman Beecroft <br />Davis <br />Ko rff <br />Tuttle <br /> <br />NAYE:;: None <br /> <br />The Council deferred action of an ordinance regulating "spear- <br />fishing in the San Marcos River" until the oportsman Club members could <br />consider the ordinance at their next meeting on July 12th at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The sponsor of th2 skin-diving ordinance asked that the <br />Council defer any consideration of the proposed ordinances regulating <br />skin-diving until fa later date when it is believed that a more <br />acceptable o~dinance can be drafted. <br /> <br />The Council approved an extension of the parking meter holi- <br />day cn Saturday afternoons from 12:00 noon. The extension is to be in <br />force through August 31st. <br /> <br />Hays County Medical Association, upon request, expressed <br />their preference as to a road to the rear entrance of the Hays County <br />iv!emorial Hosoital. Their first choice was to ltviden and irr.prove Thorp <br />Lane (Miener's Lane) from Buggs Lane to Loop 8~; thence, to connection <br />over the right~of-way the County h2S to the rear of the hospital. <br /> <br />I <br />
