<br /> <br />lH.>!Q1QIl.Ql:! <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, certain real property owned by the United States <br />of America consisting of the old post office building and site <br />located in the county of Hays, state of Texas, has been declared <br />surplus and is subject to disposal by the Secretary of Health, <br />Education, and Welfare; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos is in need of said property <br />and can utilize the same for educational purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council, the gov- <br />erning authority of the City of San Marcos to make application to <br />the United States Government for acquisition of the property under <br />the provisions of Section 203 (k)(l) of the Federal Property and <br />Administrative Services Act of 1949 (63 Stat. 377) as Amended, and <br />regulations and procedures promulgated thereunder; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that <br />B. R. Fuller, City Manager, of the City of San Marcos, or his <br />successor in function, be and he is hereby designated as the proper <br />official of said City of San Marcos by whom negotiations for such <br />acquisitions are to be prosecuted; and he is hereby duly authorized <br />to do any and all things necessary and proper to procure acquisition <br />of, and to accept, the property approved for transfer by the Depart- <br />ment of Health, Education, and Welfare for the City of San Marcos. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of San Marcos is ready, <br />willing and able, and is hereby authorized to pay all external admin- <br />istrative expenses incident to the transfer of said property; and to <br />assume immediate care and maintenance thereof, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that three certified copies of this <br />Resolution be furnished to the Regional Representative, Division of <br />Surplus Property Utilization, Department of Health, Education, and <br />Welfare as evidence of the official action of the City of San Marcos <br />in authorizing the application for, and acquisition of said property. <br /> <br />IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF we hereunto sign our names and attach <br />the seal of said institution for it and in its behalf this 29th day <br />of November, 1960. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />n /))." .
